The Congressional Budget Office will release The Budget and Economic Outlook: 2023 to 2033 at 2:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, February 15. The report will include updated budget and economic projections. CBO’s most recent budget and economic projections were released in May 2022.
Also on February 15 at 2:00 p.m. EST, CBO will release Federal Debt and the Statutory Limit, February 2023, an updated edition of a recurring report, describing the current debt situation and CBO’s expectation about when the Treasury will no longer be able to pay its obligations fully if the debt limit is not raised.
A press briefing for credentialed members of the press will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. that day. CBO’s Director, Phillip Swagel, will make brief remarks and then answer questions about the reports. More information about the briefing will soon be available on CBO’s press page.
