H.R. 4741 would require the Department of State to provide the following information concerning global telecommunications to the Congress:
• A strategy to promote the use of secure telecommunications infrastructure worldwide;
• A report on Russian and Chinese efforts to influence the International Telecommunication Union, foreign countries, and the private sector to advance their interests; and
• A report on collaboration with U.S. allies to promote secure infrastructure for information and communications technology.
