Over the past three months, CBO has produced a variety of budget and economic analyses, fulfilling the agency’s core mission of supporting the Congress during each stage of the legislative process. The agency published 63 cost estimates for legislation that was reported by a committee or that was the subject of a motion to be placed on the consensus calendar. Since its last quarterly report on the agency’s work in progress, CBO has released 23 reports, working papers, and other analytic products.
As of March 31, CBO was working on 80 cost estimates for legislation that had been ordered reported by a committee or that was the subject of a motion to be placed on the consensus calendar. In addition, the agency was working on 23 analytic products that it expected to complete in the coming months.
