H.R. 6265 would require several federal agencies, including the Departments of Defense and State, to provide to the Congress an interagency strategy to disrupt and dismantle drug production and trafficking networks linked to the regime of Bashar al-Assad in Syria. On the basis of information about similar requirements, CBO estimates that providing the strategy required under the bill would cost less than $500,000 over the 2022-2027 period. Such spending would be subject to the availability of appropriated funds.
