H.R. 2899 would direct the National Park Service (NPS) to assess the suitability and feasibility of designating areas in Guam as a National Heritage Area. Under the bill, the NPS would conduct a study in consultation with regional and local organizations and agencies and report the findings to the Congress.
Using information from the NPS, CBO estimates that implementing H.R. 2899 would cost less than $500,000 over the 2022-2026 period; such spending would be subject to the availability of appropriated funds.
