H.R. 1158 would amend the current standards of care for refugee women and children to include providing safe and secure access to sanitation facilities, especially for women, girls, and vulnerable populations. The Department of State would be required to develop procedures to ensure that international and nongovernmental organizations that implement U.S. assistance for refugees are providing that access.
