H.R. 2302 would transfer approximately 200 acres of land in El Dorado County, California, from the Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management to the Department of the Interior. DOI would hold title to that land for the benefit of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians. Both pieces of legislation also would revoke Public Land Order 3309, which granted the Forest Service a parcel of land for research.
