This slide deck provides an overview of the size, availability, use, and age of the Department of Defense's (DoD's) fleet of fighter aircraft. The last three slides focus on F-35s, the newest aircraft in DoD's fighter fleet. The data on which these slides are based run through September 30, 2025, the end of fiscal year 2025.
