S. 2273 would amend the 1890 act that admitted Wyoming as the 44th state to provide the state’s education trust fund with greater investment flexibility by allowing it to invest in assets other than bonds, including equities and other non-interest-bearing assets. Because the bill would affect only the State of Wyoming, CBO estimates that enacting S. 2273 would have no effect on the federal budget.
