H.R. 7677 would require the Government Accountability Office to assess fraud prevention measures in certain federal early childhood education, childcare, and child nutrition programs and report to the Congress on the effectiveness of those measures.
On the basis of the cost of similar activities, CBO estimates that the cost of implementing H.R. 7677 would be less than $500,000 over the 2026-2031 period. Any spending would be subject to the availability of appropriated funds.
