The Majority Leader of the House of Representatives announces bills that will be considered under suspension of the rules in that chamber. CBO estimates the effects of those bills on direct spending and revenues.

Corrections and Updates

On September 23, 2024, this table was updated to include the addition of  H.R. 6242, VOTES Act of 2023H.R. 8057, a bill to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 9317 Bolsa Avenue in Westminster, California, as the "Little Saigon Vietnam War Veterans Memorial Post Office," S. 2228, Building Chips in America Act of 2023, and S. 4698, DHS Joint Task Forces Reauthorization Act of 2024, to the list of bills that may be considered under suspension of the rules in the House of Representatives during the week of September 23, 2024.

This table was updated to revise the estimate for H.R. 3433, Give Kids a Chance Act of 2023, as a result of changes to the bill text. CBO estimated that the version of the bill posted on September 17, 2024, would not affect direct spending or revenues. The updated version of the bill, posted on September 20, 2024, would not affect direct spending and would increase revenues by less than $500,000. 

This table was updated to revise the estimate for H.R. 5526, Seniors’ Access to Critical Medications Act, as amended, as a result of changes to the bill text. CBO estimated that the version of the bill posted on September 17, 2024, would increase direct spending by $15 million over the 2024-2034 period. The updated version of the bill, posted on September 21, 2024, would decrease direct spending by $5 million over that period, CBO estimates.
