Summary
H.R. 7100 would reorganize the Office of Survivor Assistance in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) so that it would be part of the Office of the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Under current law, the office is part of the Veterans Benefits Administration, a component of VA. The reorganization would not affect the responsibilities of the office. As a result, CBO estimates that enacting H.R. 7100 would not affect the federal budget.
