S. 3185, a bill to amend the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area Improvement Act to extend the exception to the closure of certain roads within the Recreation Area for local businesses, and for other purposes
S. 3185 would extend the authority of the National Park Service to give permits to certain vehicles to pass through the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and, through September 30, 2026, to collect annual fees of $200 per vehicle (which are treated in the budget as offsets to direct spending). That authority expired on September 30, 2022. CBO estimates that enacting S. 3185 would have an insignificant effect on direct spending and no effect on revenues over the 2023-2032 period. CBO estimates that there would be no effect on spending subject to appropriation. The bill contains no intergovernmental or private-sector mandates as defined in the Unfunded Mandates Reform Act.
