H.R. 7500 would authorize the appropriation of $3.4 billion for fiscal year 2022 to construct or renovate 12 major medical facilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Because funding for those facilities was appropriated in the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2022 (Division J of P.L. 117-103), CBO estimates that H.R. 7500 would not authorize additional appropriations compared with current law.
