H.R. 7372 would require the President to establish an interagency working group to address issues in the supply chain for semiconductors that are caused by Russia’s attack on Ukraine. The working group would be chaired by the Secretary of State and include other relevant federal agencies. The bill would require the working group to report to the Congress on current supply chain disruptions and on steps the United States has taken to bolster the supply of elements, compounds, or products for semiconductors. In addition, the working group would be required to provide annual reports for five years on strategies to mitigate future disruptions of global supply chains.
