H.R. 7152 would require the Department of State to facilitate meetings between Korean Americans who wish to reunite with family members in North Korea by creating a private, voluntary registry of Korean Americans who are interested in reunions and assisting with in-person or video reunions. The bill also would encourage the department, in consultation with the government of the Republic of Korea, to ensure that any direct dialogue between the United States and North Korea includes the issue of reunions.
