CBO will release An Update to the Economic Outlook: 2018 to 2028 on Monday, August 13. The report will be available on CBO’s website at 2:00 p.m. ET. CBO’s previous economic projections can be found in The Budget and Economic Outlook: 2018 to 2028, which was released in April. CBO’s budget and economic data can also be accessed on the Budget and Economic Data page of the agency’s website.

The report will include updates to CBO’s economic projections for the period from 2018 to 2028, but not updates to its baseline budget projections. As CBO reported yesterday in its Monthly Budget Review for July 2018, the agency expects that the deficit, receipts, and outlays for fiscal year 2018 will be largely consistent with amounts in its adjusted April baseline, which were reported in An Analysis of the President’s 2019 Budget in May. At that time, CBO projected a deficit in fiscal year 2018 of $793 billion, outlays of $4.1 trillion, and receipts of $3.3 trillion.

Deborah Kilroe is CBO’s Associate Director for Communications. Leigh Angres is CBO’s Associate Director for Legislative Affairs.
