Presentation
Presentation by Shannon Mok, an analyst in CBO’s Tax Analysis Division, for a panel organized by the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, and Institute for Research on Poverty at the University of Wisconsin.
On June 26, CBO will present findings of a report on effective marginal tax rates for low- and moderate-income workers in 2016. It provides information on how several widely applicable tax provisions and various transfer programs would affect the income of a hypothetical taxpayer in 2016 and estimates of marginal tax rates from taxes and selected transfers for a representative sample of workers.
