S. 285 would make Sopuruchi Chukwueke eligible for permanent U.S. residence. The bill would affect only one person and could have a very small effect on fees collected by the Department of Homeland Security and thus would affect direct spending. Therefore, pay-as-you-go procedures apply. CBO estimates, however, that enacting S. 285 would have no significant impact on the federal budget.
